It also describes the gonarthrosis, indications and the types of total knee replacement prosthesis. The most important topics of the general part contain descriptions of therapeutic methods and procedures, focused on improving patient's health in the post- operation phase. The specialized part constitutes the main part of this thesis. It is processed via case report form and describes the physiotherapeutic treatment of a specific patient, who underwent a total knee replacement surgery. In the conclusion of the specialized part of the thesis, I evaluate the effects of the theraphy. v Abstract Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient diagnosed with total knee arthroplasty Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to elaborate the theoretical knowledge on the diagnosis of total knee arthroplasty. Furthermore, to elaborate a case study of a patient with the given diagnosis and to evaluate the effect of used physiotherapeutic methods and procedures. Methods: The case study consists of the initial kinesiological analysis, ten therapies, oucome kinesiological analysis and short-term and long-term therapeutic plans. For the examination and therapies, procedures and methods are used within the scope of knowledge of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy of UK FTVS. All these procedures are non-invasive. At the end of the thesis, the results and effect of the therapies are evaluated and the use of each method and procedure is compared with the literature mentioned in the theoretical part of the thesis. Results: The result of the therapeutic intervention was an improvement in the patient's health condition, achieving full self-sufficiency and, above all, successful elimination of subjective difficulties. A detailed summary of the partial results can be found in the chapter Evaluation of the effect of physiotherapy care. Key words: total knee arthroplasty, alloplasty, gonarthrosis,...

Physiotherapy in patients before intended knee joint replacement within the concept of prehabilitation
SMÉKALOVÁ, Dita
This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of prehabilitation and its use in orthopedic surgery, specifically in total knee replacement, from the perspective of physiotherapy. Osteoarthritis is the most common degenerative disease of the knee joint, with total knee artrhroplasty being the standard procedure in the treatment of osteoarthritis in the late phase of the disease. In the theoretical part, this work is devoted to an overview of existing knowledge about the concept of prehabilitation in planned operations and current methods in treating gonarthrosis and the possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention in the preoperative and postoperative period. This work aims to record the preparation and implementation of the physiotherapeutic intervention in a group of patients before the planned knee replacement and then evaluate its impact on the patient's condition. The research group consisted of 2 patients with advanced gonarthrosis who underwent therapy in the period of 7 weeks before the planned operation aimed at strengthening weakened muscle groups, increasing functional capacity, and raising awareness of the upcoming operation with subsequent rehabilitation. During the evaluation of the research, changes in the musculoskeletal system were found, especially the stability and strength of the lower limbs, the strength of the upper limbs, and the position of the pelvis. There was a positive effect on movement stereotypes. Both patients had a reduction in stress from the upcoming operation. The work can serve primarily as a comprehensive overview of the care of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty for both the professional public and for patients or future physiotherapy students.
